1940년 경북 안동에서 《훈민정음》 해례본이 이용준에 의해 기적적으로 발견되었다. 1446년(세종 28년)에 세종대왕이 직접 펴낸 《훈민정음》 해례본 목판본은 오랜 세월 자취를 감춘 상태였다. 《훈민정음》 해례본은 발견 당시 표지를 포함 두 장, 모두 네 쪽이 찢겨 있었다. 그것을 간송 전형필 선생이 큰돈으로 사서 지금은 간송미술문화재단(서울시 성북구)에서 소장하고 있다.
이 책은 1962년에 대한민국 국보로 지정되었고, 1997년에 유네스코 세계기록유산으로 올랐다. 이 책을 통해 훈민정음 창제 원리와 훈민정음 반포의 참뜻을 자세히 알게 되었다. 이 책은 2015년에 간송미술문화재단과 교보문고에 의해 처음 복간되었다.

Discovery of the “Hunminjeongeum” Haerye in Andong, Gyeongbuk

In 1940, a miraculous discovery of the Hunminjeongeum Haerye, the annotated version of the Hunminjeongeum (the original document explaining the creation of the Korean script), was discovered by Lee Yong-jun in Andong, Gyeongbuk. The Hunminjeongeum Haerye, originally published in 1446 (the 28th year of King Sejong’s reign), had been lost to history for centuries. The Haerye, a woodblock edition of the original text, was found with two pages, including the cover, torn. This priceless manuscript was purchased by the renowned art collector, Jeon Hyeong-pil, for a large sum. It is now housed at the Gansong Art Museum in Seoul.
In 1962, the Hunminjeongeum Haerye was designated as National Treasure No. 70 of South Korea, and in 1997, it was listed as a UNESCO Memory of the World. Through this document, the principles of the creation of the Hunminjeongeum and the true meaning behind its proclamation were thoroughly revealed. In 2015, the text was republished for the first time, thanks to the collaboration of the Gansong Museum and Kyobo Bookstore.

慶北安東で 《訓民正音》 解例本を発見する

1940年、慶尚北道安東で『訓民正音』解例本が李容準によって奇跡的に発見された。1446年（世宗28年）に世宗大王が直接刊行した『訓民正音』解例本の木版本は、長い間姿を消した状態だった。『訓民正音』解例本は発見当時、表紙を含めて2枚、計4ページが破り取られていた。それを澗松 全鎣弼先生が大金で購入し、現在は澗松美術文化財団（ソウル市城北区）で所蔵している。
この本は1962年に大韓民国の国宝に指定され、1997年にユネスコ世界記憶遺産に登録された。この本を通じて、訓民正音の創製原理と訓民正音頒布の真の意味を詳しく知ることができるようになった。この本は2015年に澗松美術文化財団と教保文庫によって初めて復刊された。
